I just got an email from Andy Hagans, master linkbaiter. He didn't outsource his link baiting. He has an in house link baiting team that he trained himself.

SEO has to know everything. Not master to the nitty gritty, but at least to be able to sift clay from gold.

As for training linkbaits, it isn't that simple.

To be able to identify what the social site wants, your trainee needs to particupate on the website. This efficiently splits his efforts to both writing content and submitting other stories.

Another thing is titles. Title is as important as everything else. No good title, no bait. You need to train your trainee that, too, and it can only be done by seeing what makes gets popular.

The only way to outsource linkbait, in my opinion, is from start to the beginning. Of course, I'd rather learn and do everything myself, but for some cases, outsourcing will save the day.

Thanks for the comment.

I just realized that outsourcing is also another skill that search marketers have to learn. I'm still trying to figure out where to find quality workers. Someone needs to start an outsourcing blog. :)

You can break down linkbait into two jobs: one person is in charge of participate in the social media sites and building many friendships while another is in charge of creating the unique content.

The problem is to find the right people for the job. Even if I know a good linkbaiter, I may not know a solid copywriter. Or even someone I could train to create linkbait non-stop.
